Associate Professor and

Associate Director of the Institute for Biogenesis Research (IBR), JABSOM.

Transposase enzymes as modulators of active gene insertion

Stefan Moisyadi received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Portsmouth Polytechnic, Hants, England and served as a volunteer in Fiji for three years teaching High School biology.  He obtained his PhD from the University of Hawaii in 1991 in Plant Molecular Physiology and subsequently was hired by Professor Ryuzo Yanagimachi to the IBR in 1999.

He has since developed active integration reagents which are effective in in-vivo and ex-vivo gene therapy, cell transfection and transgenesis.  He will discuss the development of these active integration reagents and their use in modern day biology for the ability to easily generate Green Fluorescent rabbits and pigs.
