Physics is not normally considered a seasonal activity, but the advent of Christmas raises serious concerns about the validity of certain theoretical ideas. Specifically:
In this light-hearted presentation Robert will attempt to allay our fears.
After a brief stint as a Canadian professional football player, Robert held post-doctoral positions at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory and at the University of Arizona's Lunar & Planetary Laboratory.
He spent several years developing image analysis software before accepting a faculty position at the Institute for Astronomy at the University of Hawaii in March 2003.
Robert gave us a Science Cafe presentation on "Mini-moons" in November 2012.
